Homemade Caramel Cheesecake

What you will need:
Preheat oven to 375°. In a small bowl, mix wafer crumbs and sugar, and stir in butter. Press onto the bottom and 3/4 in. up the sides of a greased 9-in. springform pan.
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until it's smooth. Then, beat in the flour and vanilla. Add eggs; beat the mixture on low speed just until blended. Next, pour into prepared crust. Place the pan on a baking sheet.
Bake 30-35 minutes or until center is almost set, and then cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Loosen the sides from the pan with a knife. Cool 1 hour longer. Refrigerate overnight, covering when completely cooled.
In a large heavy saucepan, melt caramels with milk over low heat, and stir until smooth. Stir in the walnuts. Cool to room temperature. Remove rim from springform pan. Serve cheesecake with a bit of caramel sauce, and voila!
