Hawaiian Teriyaki Burgers
One of my favorite things about summer is all the fruits and although some chefs love to use just lemons and a lot of veggies, I am a huge fan of all fruit, especially seasonal fruit. I love to take advantage of the flavors of the moment, if you know what I mean. Noah, as you all know, already has that trait from me, he is pineapple this, banana that, lol.
I have to admit, most of my recipes for the past 10 years have been by throwing things together because Noah wants it that way, haha.
Now for Noah, of course this is ALL Beef, but I have made this many times with turkey burger, the seasonings I use make it almost impossible for you to tell and yes I have even snuck a few in for Noah to eat...thank God he is too young to read this, LOL
Anways, I am not one of those bloggers that loves to tell you everything BUT the recipe haha, so let's get to it.
1/4 Pound Ground Beef or Turkey Per Desired Burger (this will cook down a tiny bit)
1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
6 tablespoons Teriyaki Sauce, divided
1/4 teaspoon salt (kosher is best)
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 slices fresh pineapple, peeled, cored and sliced (use can if desired, but you need to pat them as dry as possible before you put them on. (Per Burger)
shredded romaine lettuce
Hawaiian hamburger buns
Preheat Grill or Grilling Pan until good and hot.
Meanwhile combine the Burger or Turkey in a bowl with the bread crumbs and 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce. Then shape into patties. combine the salt, pepper and garlic salt in a bowl then sprinkle bottom and top of each patty.
Place on grill or pan and do NOT touch until it starts to pull away from the pan and a spatula will easily glide under it and flip.
Baste pineapple slices with remaining teriyaki sauce and grill until lightly charred, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Spread mayonnaise evenly on bottom bun. Top with burger, lettuce, pineapple slice and top bun. Serve immediately with side of choice, I make sweet potato fries with this one, it is the perfect compliment.
As usual, I hope you make and enjoy this tasty treat. Please leave any tips and tricks for me in the comment section below. Have an amazing day!
