Homemade S'mores Dip
I don't know about your family, but with me and the kids I have to set aside "family time" for Sunday evenings, which usually entails a movie and a snack. Being that Izzy is in love with S'mores, I thought I would surprise her last week with a new Homemade S'mores Dip with Graham Crackers and oh boy did they all lick their plates clean. what a great treat and your family is sure to love it as well.
4 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Salt (Kosher or sea salt is best)
1 Bag of Large Marshmallows
1: Combine the chocolate chips, heavy cream, corn syrup, butter and about 1/8 teaspoon salt in an cast iron skillet (8" Skillet is the one I used) and place over medium heat.
2: Stir occasionally as the mixture comes to a simmer. Simmer for about 5-6 minutes, Stir frequently, until the sauce is smooth and semi thickened. Do not allow to come to a full boil, if it does turn down the heat asap.
3: When ready Remove from the heat and let cool a minimum of 15 minutes.
4: in the meantime, Preheat the broiler.
5: Take your fudge sauce and cover it with a single layer of marshmallows.
6: Place under the broiler and broil until the marshmallows are golden toasty brown, about 2 to 3 minutes (watch carefully as the can easily go from perfect to burnt.
Serve with Graham Crackers
