The Fox's Banana Bread
This recipe hails back from a long list of members of our family, passed on over many years. I would like to share this with you too, in hopes that it may take it's place among your family's favorite recipes. Enjoy!
Prep 10 minutes / Cook 50 minutes
What you will need:
1 cup mashed or pureed bananas
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
Mix together banana and sour cream and set it aside. In a large bowl, combine cream together with the margarine and sugar until smooth. Beat the eggs into the mixture one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla and almond extract and banana mixture. Combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder; stir into the banana mixture. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 50 minutes in the preheated oven (or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.) Let cool and enjoy!
